This is my time there in Facilities, there are more with this same experience, many more. And still if you work hard and do good, too good. ![]() Even if the job would take you 5 minutes, it must be Micro managed to that point (So not to get your boss in any trouble for his lack of knowledge or competence). Common jobs must be assigned, this is good, but after assigned you still must be told to do the job by your supervisor, then how to do the job, then when you can do the job. If you have skills and are looking for something close to home look elsewhere, more than likely you'll do good at what they ask but make others look bad when you do it. Mind you, what they say is LAW, weather or not its true does NOT matter. Or like they did to me make up some lame, long list of lies to try and write you up with. So in other words, make your boss look great, at all costs. As I was told by multiple management $#it runs down hill here. Favortism is the bandwagon and load up or ship out. Whats lacking at this company is competence in its Upper management. IF your fine with that Like I was great, you will meet some really cool people at this company, if you need experience you can get it, is it right for you? Maybe, maybe not. Its fast paced, run run wait.for a decision to be made. But the second you went to his supervisor then - more.īeing at Firemountain you will find alot of good people. He never directly dealt with the issues within the department, you could tell him a million and a half times and nothing would get done. The manager was a joke! Talk about spineless, two faced, and if he was intimidated he'd let you know. But I was the only person a lot of people felt like they could open up to about their issues and get help fixing them. I picked up all the slack, was always in between the bead bunker, product management, accounting, inventory control, and the vault dealing with issues then coming back to my department to get told I'm not working efficiently enough and I needed to do more, or I socialize too much. I worked my butt off for my whole department while getting no credit for it at all. They play favorites, and if they don't like you it won't be long till you're either moved to a different department or fired. If it wasn't for being able to have one ear bud in to listen to music to drown out the drama I would have lost it multiple times. ![]() My lead and coordinator put papers up to block their faces so they could gossip. It's like going to high school all over again between the rumors, drama, clicks, break ups, who was with who. The bads : high turn around time- they go through employees like a daily change of underwear. They have right around 500 employees year round, which is awesome they employ that many in our little town. There are some of the most genuine and kind people within the company. Where to start with Fire Mountain, hmm let me start off with the few good things. ![]()
